Large, heavy, often twisted leaves are creamy-gold in the center with dark green margins and medium green streaks between the two colors. Leaf center is brighter gold in the spring, fading to chartreuse in the summer. As the season progresses, the center will turn greenish. But when grown in some bright light it actually stays lighter than if grown in the shade. White flowers on short scapes in early summer.
